This installation was my final project at uni and was based around Apophenia, the phenomenon in which people perceive recognisable shapes and faces in random patterns.

Semi realistic eyes were added to tree branches using modelling putty to make the tree shapes, while 2 projections showed a video of a woodland canopy, using a mirror technique to create symmetrical patterns in which faces could sometimes be seen.

The installation was a culmination of work I had done around the subject of forests, magical thinking, and synchronicity.
